Nell leads the team as our Principal Psychologist. Her passion lies in working with our clients to achieve life goals and find meaning. Growing up in the North West, Nell is excited to work with local people to enhance their wellbeing and build fulfilling lives. Nell brings 20 years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents, and groups in private practice, inpatient and community settings.
Nell’s therapeutic approach is practical, flexible and relevant to her client’s needs. She cares about improving health and wellbeing through the use of evidence-based practice and an engaging interpersonal style. She incorporates clinical training with a firm commitment to holistic treatment. Her experience in recovery, trauma, injury management and Mental Health Assessments to support diagnosis provides the ability to work with a wide range of psychological issues.

Eric is a Registered Psychologist with more than 25 years’ experience providing therapy across the life-span for a variety of psychological and emotional difficulties. With a background in school counselling , Eric has a special interest in the diagnosis and remediation of learning difficulties. His counselling approach is unique and empathetic, in which he integrates a variety of clinical techniques to support clients in working through their challenges.

SARAH TAYLOR
Psychologist

Sarah is a psychologist with a nurturing, empathic and non-judgemental style of therapy. She works with Children, Adolescents, Young People and Adults. She is passionate about supporting people to achieve their own mental health balance and living a values orientated life. With her therapy Sarah adopts a holistic evidence-based approach utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DNA-V (ACT for young people), positive psychology and tailors her approach to the individual and their needs.
Sarah is a Mental Health First Aid (Youth) trainer and is passionate about teaching families and others working with young people how to support young people's wellbeing and mental health. Outside of work, Sarah loves all things old school rock, listening to records, reading fantasy books, and watching science fiction movies and tv shows.

JANE BETTINGTON

Jane is a Registered Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with people across the lifespan. She has a variety of life experiences particularly in the rural setting. Having worked with the Department of Eduction for many years, Jane has a wide range of professional and school based partnerships.
Jane's therapeutic approach includes Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Family Therapy. Her approach tends to be practical and relevant to the client’s needs. Her manner is engaging and empathetic and she makes her clients feel relaxed and comfortable.

AIMEE COOK
Psychologist

Aimee gained her Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours at Southern Cross University before completing her two-year internship program as a Provisional Psychologist. She is now a Registered Psychologist with experience working with adolescents and young people.
Aimee employs a mixed modal approach to therapy, utilising aspects from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Therapy. She aims to gain a strong therapeutic alliance with all clients where they feel comfortable and confident to express their issues and concerns. Aimee focuses on empowering clients to find meaning in their life.

Praj is a Registered Psychologist, with over 12 years experience in the in the NGO mental health space. A Tamworth local for the past 8 years, Praj has a young family and understands the pressures that modern life can put upon a family. He is skilled in a number of therapies, and has a wealth of experience in client psychological clinical management.
Praj works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Praj has a inclusive compassionate and gentle therapeutic style with a strong focus on building a client specific therapeutic relationship. Praj helps clients set individualised goals and to make changes that they want to make. Praj is trained in a number therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) , Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

ALMA MARTIN

Alma is a provisional psychologist in her second year of her internship. Alma has had a career as a health worker and as an administrator. Having lived and worked in a rural setting for many years she has a strong empathy with the rural community.
Alma has a practical approach to client therapy. She works with her clients to help them achieve their goals. Alma is skilled at working with adults and children, especially working to manage grief , anxiety and depression.
NATASHA LUMSDEN
Registered Psychologist
B Psychological Science, Grad Diploma Psychology (Advanced).
Natasha has extensive experience working with adults and young adults in the fields of Substance Abuse, Addiction, Trauma, and Mental Health. She has worked as an inpatient Primary Therapist at one of Sydney’s leading private treatment centres for addiction, mood disorders, and trauma recovery. Natasha has also worked within the not-for-profit sector delivering mental health services to NDIS clients before deciding to relocate to Tamworth for a tree change. Natasha feels excited and passionate about working with her local community and strongly believes that we each have an inbuilt capacity for deep personal growth, recovery, and healing.
Natasha brings a warm, intuitive, down to earth and holistic approach to therapy. She is passionate about creating a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance with her clients to provide a safe space for authentic expression and vulnerability.
